Nov. 1 & 2 - Pastor Diana attends the annual ENNEAGRAM conference at Loyola U. 

Sunday, Nov. 2, 10:15 AM - ALL SAINTS SUNDAY & HOLY COMMUNION ~ The Lord's Table is Open to ALL - optional wheat-free, gluten free wafers available for those with allergies.  There will be a Candle-Lighting Memorial ceremony to honor the memory of loved ones. At the beginning of the Service, Dr. Tom Getzelman will give a slide presentation to kick-off our 170th Year Celebrations. The United Methodist Women will introduce their mission efforts for Church World Service.

~ Please pick up your Newsletter and kindly take one for someone who is absent. ~The Nov/Dec Upper Room daily devotionals are available on the Ushers’ Table.

TUESDAY – Election Day. Every Vote Counts! 

TUESDAY, 7 PM – Trustees’ meeting @ Church. 2014 members: Chair, Tom Getzelman, Joe Geisler, Maile Edmonson, Marie Maynard, Rick Lutes, Michael Vonic, John Gehringer, Bob Pearson and Pastor Diana.

THURSDAY, 1:30 PM – UMW meet @ parsonage. Hostess, Deanne Tamms ~ Devotions, Pastor Diana

SATURDAY, 7 AM – Men’s Breakfast Club @ Rose Garden Restaurant - ecumenical gathering of local gentlemen.

SATURDAY, 9 AM – Elgin Community Lighthouse breakfast meeting at the Holiday Inn.   $20.   Please RSVP to Pastor Diana. Good food, ecumenical fellowship, worship, speakers, and prayer.

SUNDAY, Nov. 9,  10:15 AM Worship INTL Day of Prayer for Persecuted Church ~ Please sign-up to order your 2015 ONE YEAR BIBLE @ $14 each. ~ Annual Committee Reports due in today.

Friday - Saturday - Confirmation Class Retreat @ Wesley Woods

SATURDAY, Nov. 15, 9 AM – Pie Day! @ church kitchen! Bring a fresh pie +/or deliver a slice and visit awhile! 

Sunday, Nov. 16, 10:15 AM - Hymn Sing Sunday; Food Pantry Donations due. Sermon topic - the parable of the talents.  A children's message is always included during our Family Worship Hour.

Tues. Nov. 18, 7 PM - Annual Church Conference, assessing our faithfulness of this past year. Everyone welcome!

Please pray for our men and women serving in combat areas: Nathan Sorg, details forthcoming...Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Comps, Afghanistan ~ Marine PFC Dustyn Harris, Ukraine. Please inform us of the names of others who are serving in war-torn areas.
